We are reading and discussing some great books and we are working on:
Kindergarten: We are reading non-fiction books about lots of different kinds of animals and other subjects. It is amazing what they know about wildlife! They all know what an author does, what the title of a book is and what an illustrator is. They know the difference between fiction and non-fiction.
First grade: We are all alphabetical order experts! It is a very important skill to know to use the library.
Second grade: We are looking at The Caldecott Medal winners. We are evaluating the illustrations and having lots of great discussions.
Third grade: We are practicing looking up books on the on-line catalog. We are on our way to being independent library users!
Fourth grade: We have started our computer research projects on famous Connecticut people. Some of us have finished our PowerPoint presentations. I can't wait to see them all!
